Using what you have learned about the 7Cs of effective communication and “Discovering Self”, plan and write a 100-word biodata. Be sure to have your blogging buddy evaluate and comment on the strengths and weaknesses of your biodata based on the criteria found on page 6 of the Skill Builders. Also, be sure to give constructive and detailed feedback to your buddy.
I am Seow Hui Kee Joceyln, age 19, female, currently in my second year of study at National University of Singapore (NUS). I believe myself to be a sociable person, as I enjoy interacting with people and making new friends. Being empathetic and sensitive, I am generally able to mediate in conflicts as well as provide comfort to troubled friends. Building rapport is usually not difficult for me. Self-motivated and results-driven, I always desire to excel in things I partake.
Having done relief teaching in CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls’ School for three months, I have learnt to communicate effectively with both adolescents and adults. Teaching has also made me more meticulous and patient, which I believe are qualities that will benefit me greatly in future assignments.

Wow, it's definitely rewarding to know that you have so many qualities. Do build on them and I believe you will achieve more in the near future. However, if someday, someone were to point out your weakness, do listen, accept and change for the better. That's what self-improvement and maturity are. Moreover, it certainly is an advantage to have worked as a relief teacher as this aids in the understanding of your possible career route. All the best to you!
I am able to picture your character and personality through reading your biodata. However, biodatas will only allow a person to understand the subject at a superficial level. Therefore, it is always important to note that we should never exaggerate whatever qualities or characteristics through biodatas or other channels, lest we give people the wrong impression of whom we are actually.
Your biodata consists of many positive points about yourself. This would allow future employers to understand you beforehand, and designate to you responsibilities that you excel in.
However, you could probably include more on your interests and passion to allow readers to know more about yourself.
Experience in teaching indeed takes one further than being an educator in the future and it is heartening to learn that you have also gained communication and interpersonal skills in your relief teaching stint. Although specific interests were not stated in your biodata as Yingfeng mentioned, I think that you have sufficiently covered qualities which made you stand out, such as empathy and social skills. These are traits which are highly valued as well.
To Xin Wei: Yes it is true that we should not exaggerate our strengths and accomplishments in our resumes and biodata, lest we give people the wrong impression of whom we actually are. This could lead to awkwardness when we explain ourselves to the employers during job interviews. The interviewers would then doubt our sincerity and trustworthiness, putting us at a disadvantage at getting that job.
